About the show: New Year's Eve always bring out the party, and this night was no different. A best-of line up for Banana Stand Media, the evening started with Alex Arrowsmith, then into The Greater Midwest, and finally The Curious Hands ringing in 2009. Each group played their second show at The Banana Stand that evening, but it sure wouldn't be their last.
Fun facts:
This was the second time Curious Hands played the Banana Stand.
The live song ‘Vancouver, BC’ recorded the first time Curious hands played the Banana Stand was used in a Dark Horse Comics YouTube video by Aaron Colter that featured poster-artist Stainboy at Portland’s screen printing shop Diesel Fuel. The video was shot when Diesel Fuel shared a building with SE club The Holocene; several of Tara McPherson’s prints can be seen getting ready in the background of the video.
